While a lot of people get busy with converting their cars to run on E85, two new studies have revealed the danger of ethanol. They said ethanol is even worse than gasoline. For those uninitiated, ethanol is the 85 in E85. They are made mostly from plant oils.
The production of corn-based ethanol, for instance, was initially reported to reduce greenhouse emissions but recent studies proved otherwise. Apparently, as more and more lands get converted to biofuel farms, there is less and less land to grow food. This results in inflation (food prices) and the fast-paced conversion of forests and grasslands to agricultural lands which in the process can cause serious climatic changes in the future.
